We started Genuine Outdoor Living after watching too many beautiful landscapes and hardscapes fail, not because of what you could see on the surface, but because of the shortcuts hidden beneath it. Poor base preparation. Skipped drainage. The wrong materials chosen for our Ontario winters. Work that looked fine on completion day but couldn't survive its first real freeze-thaw cycle.

We believed there had to be a better way. A process focused on craftsmanship at every level, not just the visible finish work but the foundation that supports it. Transparent communication so homeowners know exactly what they're paying for and why. Materials selected for durability in Canadian climate conditions, not just for appearance or cost.

So we built a company around those principles. Every project starts with understanding what the space needs to do and how long it needs to last. Every estimate is detailed enough that you know where your investment goes. Every build follows the same base-up approach regardless of whether anyone will ever see what's underground.
